Find a Project
The registry allows you to search for environmental screening projects by location, name, or status.
Click the map
Zoom into a region and click markers to see project details instantly
Combine filters
Use multiple filters together — e.g. "Active" + "Gwich'in Settlement Area"
Try partial names
You don't need the full project name — partial matches will return results
Understand Map Layers
The registry map includes multiple data layers that provide geographic and administrative context for each project. Understanding these layers helps you interpret project locations within the broader landscape.
Using the layer panel
Toggle layers on and off
Click the layers icon on the map toolbar to open the panel, then switch layers individually
Layer visibility
Active layers appear with coloured boundaries on the map — inactive layers are hidden
Combine for context
Enable multiple layers at once to see how a project relates to settlement areas and protected zones
Common Questions
Quick answers to frequently asked questions
Do I need an account to use the registry?
No. Anyone can browse projects, view documents, and follow the screening process without an account. An account is only required to submit a project or to comment during open public-comment periods.
Can I submit a project through this website?
Registered proponents can create and submit project applications through the proponent portal. Create an account to get started.
Why can't I see certain information on a project?
Some documents are marked internal and are not part of the public record. Visibility is controlled per document, and information may also be limited while a project is still in draft.
Who manages the registry?
The registry is maintained by the Environmental Impact Screening Committee (EISC) as the authoritative system of record for its screening process.
